Home/Placement Compliance Checks

Red Spruce offers comprehensive Foster Home and Alternative Placement Compliance Checks to ensure that all placements meet the highest standards of care as outlined by relevant Community, New Brunswick, and Standards for Youth in Care Acts. Our service includes thorough assessments of foster homes and alternative placements to verify that they are providing a physically safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and youth.

After each compliance check, we provide a detailed report highlighting our findings, including any areas that require attention or improvement. We work closely with caregivers and community Social Workers to address these issues and ensure that necessary mitigations are implemented. Our follow-up process ensures that all concerns are resolved, and the placement continues to meet the required standards, prioritizing the well-being and safety of the children in care.

Our Foster Home and Alternative Placement Compliance Checks offer valuable third-party insight.

Family Visit Supervision

We understand that no parent wants to be in a supervised visitation arrangement, but our Family Visit Supervision and Reporting service is designed with care and sensitivity to support both parents and children during this challenging time. The goal is to keep the parent-child bond strong and provide parents with the opportunity to spend meaningful time with their children in a safe and supportive environment.

Each supervised visit includes a review of the strengths and needs assessment completed at intake, ensuring that progress is consistently tracked and any necessary adjustments are made to support the family's goals. Our team approaches every visit with empathy, focusing on nurturing the parent-child relationship while closely monitoring for safety and well-being. We document the experience thoroughly, and our detailed reports offer valuable insights into the family’s progress, guiding decisions that prioritize the child's best interests and address the emotional needs of both parents and children.

Therapeutic Alternative Placement for Youth and Children

Red Spruce offers Therapeutic Alternative Placement for youth and children who require specialized care beyond traditional foster home settings. Our therapeutic placements are designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment that supports the emotional, mental, and behavioral needs of young people facing complex challenges.

Each placement is carefully selected to ensure that it aligns with the unique needs of the child or youth, offering therapeutic interventions and a supportive atmosphere that promotes healing and growth. Our team works closely with caregivers, social workers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that focus on the well-being and development of the child.

In addition to providing a stable and caring environment, our therapeutic placements include regular assessments and ongoing support to ensure that the child's progress is closely monitored and that any emerging needs are addressed promptly. Red Spruce is committed to helping children and youth thrive by providing the specialized care they need to overcome challenges and build a brighter future.

Family and Individual Strength and Needs Assessments

At Red Spruce, our Family Strengths and Needs Assessment service is designed to provide a comprehensive and personalized understanding of each family's unique situation. This assessment evaluates both the strengths and areas where support is needed for the entire family and each individual member. By identifying these key elements, we create tailored support plans that effectively address specific needs and build on existing strengths.

Our approach is wholistic and culturally rooted, recognizing the importance of honoring each family's identity. The insights gained from these assessments guide our team in developing personalized plans that promote well-being, strengthen family bonds, and support long-term success. Whether you're beginning your journey toward reunification or seeking to enhance family connections, our Family Strengths and Needs Assessment is a crucial step in creating a healthier, more stable future for families.

Parent Advocate and Support Program

Red Spruce offers a free Parent Advocate and Support Program to help all parents find the support and resources they need. Whether you're looking for services in your area, need help understanding the legal side of child and family matters, or want to create a safety plan for your family, we're here to assist you.

Our program provides one-on-one meetings where we can guide you to helpful resources, explain any issues, and work with you to make a safety plan that puts your family's well-being first. We can also attend court as a support, join you in Child and Family Services (CFS) meetings, make referrals for services, and help review documents that you might need help understanding.

This service is free for all parents, making sure everyone has access to the support they need to keep their family safe and strong.
